Holiday Fundraiser 2005

The 10th Annual Holiday Fundraiser held
December 7th, 2005 at the beautiful Hilton Waterfront Beach
Resort was a big success, raising over $28,000.
This annual dinner, auction and holiday entertainment
extravaganza is the event that shifts Surf Citians into the
holiday spirit. For a decade this popular fundraising event
has been the main opportunity for Soroptimist International
of Huntington Beach to create the revenue to support all of
our ongoing programs that enhance the lives of women and
girls. The evening evoked a relaxing atmosphere of
friendship and giving. Generous donations received
produced a treasure trove of both silent auction gift
baskets and exciting live auction items.
The committee, Phyllis Nichols, Cindy Ford, Catou DeFriend,
Heather South, Freda Matsuda and the Chair, Maureen Sloan
James, did an excellent job. So few hands - so much
accomplished – congratulations ladies! Who is going to help
Heather South when she chairs the event next year?
