Christmas Fundraiser 2004 - A Tremendous Success!

Well, the fundraiser was a great success
thanks to my wonderful committee, Lisa Loughran, Margie
Bunten, Maureen Sloan James, Catou DeFriend, and Phyllis
Nichols
who made all the signs. Pat Bone contributed the beautiful
table arrangements.
Total income was $30,545.00 and we cleared $21,037.58 after
expenses, the most ever made at this fundraiser, I
understand.
The SIHB members solicited and contributed fabulous prizes,
which made up the fantastic live and silent auction items. I
really appreciated the generosity of our members in coming
through with such great items. I must admit I hassled them
via email all summer
long and right up to the deadline!
I'm a person who likes to have everything done way ahead of
time so any last minute problems can be handled without any
panic. The staff at the Hilton were very helpful and the
set-up was made much easier because of this. The
three-course meal was excellent! I believe everyone was
happy with the event and I enjoyed the challenge of being
the chair.
