The Honorable Jane Shade
a Commissioner of the Orange County Superior Court will be named
Woman of Distinction. She served as a volunteer
and board member for a battered women’s shelter, a women’s education
center, and a group home for neglected and abused children. Since
January of 2007 Commissioner Shade has been assigned to criminal

The recognition of Sandra Morgan who founded
Lydia’s House in Athens, Greece for Advancing the Status of
Women, Sandra inspires and nurture women in every day life,
offering insight to health, home and happiness to those without a
voice: abused women and trafficked women. This January 2008, Sandra

entrepreneur, had an idea to be of service to women less fortunate
than her. She staged a “Dress for Success” type of event for women
who were survivors of domestic violence and who wanted to get back
into the work force. Eighteen years later, Working Wardrobes has
served more than 30,000 women, teens, and men emerging from a life
crisis or emancipation and committed to entering the workforce.
W.W. addresses the needs of low and no income breast cancer patients
by providing clothing through the “Wardrobes that Work” program.
Foster care teens are given Prom dresses via the “Cinderellas for
Life” program and a program that provides a life-transforming “Day
